not at all, actually. especially since the phone i had before (razr) was crap and i need some way to stay connected to the internet as much as possible. it was well worth the price.

and there aren't going to be any new iphones for some time. it would have to be submitted to the FCC and those documents are public, so we'd already know if apple were working on something to be released 5 months from now. for a long while, the updates are going to be done via firmware/software updates. that's the upside to this thing running OS X or another phone running Windows Mobile as opposed to other phones doing whatever they do.

i'm not giving you shit for your decision, so i don't see the need to get shit for mine. no, i don't expect any "returns" on my iphone purchase, but considering that i've always had a piece of shit cell phone that i've hated, i decided to treat myself to something that i actually want. fucking sue me.

and it only equates to one months rent (which i still have, by the way), so that's not an issue. i work two jobs so i don't have to worry about money.

and again, i my laptops are my main instruments these days and i'd rather carry around a $500 phone every day than a $2000 powerbook that if it gets stolen, i might as well jump into a river.
