red rock west? It's a GREAT, overlooked, underrated thriller by John Dahl, with like 6 people from various Lynch films in it.. and a very Lynchian/early Coens vibe (actually, it's nearly identical to Blood Simple in a lot of ways).

Awesome, I'm gonna be a dick and download it now. Only thing I've seen from Dahl is that piece of shit "Joy Ride" and some of the good to great eps of television shows he's done for Breaking Bad, True Blood and Dexter.

Joy Ride is the only bad movie he's done... and it's not even THAT bad compared to most of what's out there.

Hmm. I say 6/10. I forwarded past some of the first 20 minutes, so I could catch the action! I thought it was pretty cool, a good time fro a saturday afternoon. made me think what would I do if in such a situation. Godzilla but told from the point of view of a regular human. I was really really baked and this came on on HBO. I at first wanted to see how he got back in time. I enjoyed it more than Sherlock Holmes, and trhat is saying a lot cuz this movie is NOT a great movie, but I laughed at a lot of it. 5/10

It was better than Sherlock Holmes ( my only criteria is to be entertained/amused.)
Movies serve only one purpose in my life, and that is to entertain me. Sherlock Holmes was worse than Cloverfield. Public Enemies was worse than Cloverfield.

I hope by Godzilla you mean the Matthew Broderick thing. Cuz that's shit. But the old Gojira films kick serious ass. Cloverfield was garbage. Barely entertained me at all, in keeping with yr rating criteria.

6.5/10 Not as good as the second, but to me the whole Jackass thing is the ultimate nonmusical exercise in Punk Rock. |
