I really like the first song, that's nice! It wouldn't be a tragedy if the vocals didn't have that strong delay on it.... try reverb instead. Otherwise, it was'a mighty fine pick'in and a singin'

I have a band called Tangerine Stars. I play guitar. When I started I played shoegaze but I've moved toward noise rock and use string drones becasue I wanted more dissonance as standard tuning wasn't cutting it. myspace.com/cushydaughter reverbnation.com/tangerinestars <----has my shoegaze stuff on it but my myspace page has the reverbnation player embedded in it.

I keep trying and trying, refusing to accept some things. But at some point you have to give up hope. Ive resigned myself to the fact that I wont ever have a balanced checkbook and my house will always be messy. There, I said it.You?

Reviews of my band, The Harlequins!
http://thehothalflife.blogspot.com/2...rm-part-5.html http://randomoldrecords.blogspot.com...s-1242009.html highlights "I kept hearing flashes of mid '90s-style Pavement slacker rock and early '80s post-punk psychedelia, tempered with pure shake 'em down Midwestern groove. I pity the lame-o UC students who stumbled into the joint around 1 AM looking for a quick hook-up who got confronted with the Harlequins in full flight. " "I would go so far as to say that a few kids up front were attempting to "thrash". Can you "thrash" to a 1970's throwback band that combines equal parts influence from grungy early '90's music and Pet Sounds? If you'd have asked me in November, I would have said "No, sir!" Now, however, I'm not so sure." |

I'm a one-man kinda thing. I make ambient, minimalist stuff that tries really hard to break your heart. You can put your ears to the fluffy grindstone here: http://www.last.fm/music/Jacques+de+Villiers
