Wait what the fuck? I just saw them an hour ago, and it was my first time hearing them. Some of my friends are friends with AIDS Wolf, and Chinese Stars are friends with them, so they hooked us up with a basement show. I wish the turnout was better becuase it was a basement show, but I really enjoyed it! I barely hear bands that put a lot of focus on the drum and bass, with a guitarist, synth and vocalist with a fast-paced alternating vocal range. It was enjoyable.

ok, here's the deal:

saturday, juana molina is playing here, i haven't heard diddly squat of her music but i figure it would be interesting right? the problem is, tickets are $35 u.s. dollars aprox.

then, there's an awesome out of town band that's coming to play here this weekend, they are called descartes a kant (www.myspace.com/descartesakant they opened for yyys and sy in their hometown of guadalajara, check them out); they are playing a show tomorrow night at a place i got banned at some point and would have to pay to get in and then they are playing a free show on saturday (i can pay my way in on friday's show but i'm planning on buying whatever merch they have).

i guess i could make it to the friday show if i was to go to juana molina, but is she worth $35 bux? if juana molina's show wasn't happening, i would rather go see descartes a kant on saturday.

so whatdaya think?
