I think Meth has one of the most appealing voices in hip hop, like, ever. But I've never been blown away by his solo projects (Blackout! was a fluke, it would seem) and he's drifted into some incredibly lame territory in the past 12 years or so. Still, when he steps to the mic he does steal the show, even though his verses are nothing like Rae's or Gza's. He still is a dope emcee, and I wish he'd make more music. He could have a hell of a comeback in the current climate.

I always preferred The Funk Doc to Method Man. Method Man is just sort of, well, boring! The only time I can handle Meth is when he is rapping with his partner Red, period, and even then, I'm just waiting for his part to end more or less..

You two need to listen to Black Milk's No Poison NO Paradise. It's a heavy and thoughtful album, and, like, nobody gives a shit about it at all. It's remarkable. Just by listening to it you become part of the elite.

Ah... Well.

Actually, I kind of find Death Grips nauseating to listen to. It's a novel concept, the whole thing, and I try to always speak well of Zach Hill/Hella related projects, because I remember when they were, for a few years, one of the most exciting bands in the world. But Death Grips is not for me.

I would very much like to shift the conversation back to Wu Tang and Kanye and other things mutually adored by NR, louder, and myself.

... Anyone got anything?
