seeing how math munchers doesn't have a full-on green or orange screen, i'm guessing it's a generation after "oregon trail."
i still can't believe there are no guitar hero players in here... |

I'm not sure, but we had both Munchers and the Oregon Trail (around 1990 or so). The best part of the Oregon Trail was leaving messed up messages on the tombstones that the rest of the school would read when they passed them.

I have a terribly mind-numbing addiction to Tetris.

munchers. man, i haven't thought about that in years.
i have a copy of the original lemmings on floppy disk, but the thing is only compatible with dos and windows 3.1 and all that other ancient stuff. i should really buy that for the snes . . . that and sim city.

Lemmings was made for the SNES.
I remember the sports level and the level on the beach. That game was always really hard for me so I never played it much. |

I mean it was a complete Doom ripoff and even used the same engine, but man I used to get so fucking scared playing it and loved it. The demons and mummies and everything...ahh nostalgia. I've never met someone my age who knows what it is.

Lemmings is one of my all time favs, even if you couldnt do the level you could roadblock em all in a small space and nuke em all, which was loads better 'oh no' |

I always sucked at Gaunlet. I think I have Gauntlet 2 on one of those Midway Classics compilations, with Mortal Kombat 2 & 3, Rampage World Tour, and some other stuff.
Nowadays I play mostly old stuff. I bought and cleaned an SNES a couple years ago and Final Fantasy 3-6 (Japanese) - $65 for all of it. I went home and completed all 96 exits in Super Mario World in two sittings. I also have something like 250 roms for SNES and NES alone, not to mention Sega (Phantasy Star series, Sonic mostly) and loads of text-based crap. Then I bought the rerelease of Ultimate Doom, Master of Orion 2, SimCity2000, found a copy of Diablo 1, Starcraft, Descent, all that good stuff. A ton of abandonware (X-Com, Dune, etc.). Some retro games on GBA, like Yoshi's Island, Metroid 1, Zelda. And I probably haven't played 75% of this stuff. But I love having it. Anyone play Blackthorne? That game was so bad-ass...They rereleased it on GBA. If I hadn't played it so much already I'd get it. Or Flashback, the hardest game on the planet. |
