Merzbeatles.
It's a mix I did of Revolver and assorted Merzbow material. I deleted it afterwards because it was too awesome to exist. |

That's funny pbradley, when all that jay-z "black album" mash-up shit was happening, I remember telling a friend that I was going to do one where I just take Jay-Z acapella samples and place them over random Merzbow tracks.
...Maybe I SHOULD still do that. A little late now, though. |

Thank you, this whole obsession over class is bullshit. You don't choose what you're born into you choose what you do with your life. There are cunts from every class. |

Middle-class people do whinge more though. Essentially, there's never been a working class emo band. Discuss.

i can think of plenty of working class bands that had a sort of emo element (the smiths?) but that weren't really all that popular with working class listeners. Bowie, maybe?

As far as I know, John Lennon was sort of lower middle class while the rest were solid working class. |

John Lennon did write the rather brilliant "Working Class Hero", which David Bowie covered with his group Tin Machine. |

i don't really understand how class works in the US. I don't really understand how it works in the UK either, for that matter.

This is utter bollocks. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this is not just the most bollocks you've ever spouted, but is very close to the most bollocks ever spouted on this forum.

Just to add to this, I was reading an old issue of Mojo, the 101 Best Beatles Songs issue and came across this blurb by John Cale: They were a driving force in the Velvets, and made us work harder and got us on our bikes. Rubber Soul was where you you were forced to deal with them as something other than a flash in the pan. It was rich in ideas and I loved the way George managed to find a way to include all those Indian instruments.
