David Bowie - Young Americans
On a massive Bowie kick lately. GENIUS.

^The intro kills me every time. I also love Bowie's backing vocals on that track.
Right now it's a toss-up between Suburban Lawns - Janitor and Palace Brothers (Will Oldham) - Horses. |

Yes. "The songs remains the same" is not as bad as it's said to be in my opinion.

Out of curiosity, how often do you guys change your favorite song? For me I usually have the same favorite song for years.

I always thought it was because I pick up things and turn them in my hands like scavenging raccoons for YEARS that made me so slow and outdated, but yeah, basically I hold onto history. Something that resonates deeply with me will always stay that way.
For example, when I was 15 (a decade ago) whenever I would start to feel the sway of a bad trip coming in while on acid, the one key to dissolving it was Alberto Balsam by Aphex Twin. EVERY TIME. And so no matter when, if I felt bad, I would play that song. Still, if I hear it, I'm ok. Typically, songs without vocals tend to stay more solid in mind. |

Jay-Z - Girls, Girls Girls pt. 2, the Kanye West remix (from the very end of the Blueprint). So goddamn amazing. Definitely one of Kanye's most underrated classics methinks. JUST TRYING GIIIRLS OOUT!!!
