the Social Network=8.5/10
Yeah, it was great. Fast paced dialogue with AMAZING performances (I don't even think it's too early to say Eisenberg is looking at an Oscar nom at the least), typical stylish editing and filming from Fincher and Co. and Reznor's score was perfect. Movie was dark and funny in equal measures. I don't even think I'm being blinded by hype, I loved sitting through the whole thing.

DEAD MAN "This disappointment from Jim Jarmusch.." --Some ignorant Amazon.com Employee Reviewer I first this wouldn't bother me at all, reading what some mainstream minded fuck had to say about this film. But the film that I watched last night, deserves a whole lot better then this hack's opinion. This Western film, start to finish, is beautifully shot in black and white by Jarmusch and staring Johnny Deep doing another flawless, cool performance. Can't believe there are people that don't understand this film? (Roger Ebert) Anyways.. I always find that some of the best films always have a limitless stock of supporting characters and cameos, that in a instant can put a huge smile on face just from one line or one action, and you're like "OH! That guy in this! damn LOL! I love this movie." I did this many times through out this. Like Gary Farmer's performance, as the outcast Native American, Nobody, was hilarious. Johnny Depp and Farmer's bond and chemistry was spot on. There was a few times the picture just seemed to leap right out of the screen the shots were so vivid and captivating! Like I just wanted to pause the movie and print it off as a poster and hang it on your wall. Jim knows exactly what he wants and you can tell, he goes out and gets it. Also not to mention NEIL YOUNG'S work with the whole soundtrack! Just Neil and his guitar put a completely new spin how to soundtrack to a Western. All in all this film is a head scratcher.. why the hell isn't this movie more celebrated and praised??? THIS IS THE ULTIMATE POSTMODERN WESTERN. 10/10 |

10/10 Maggie Gyllenhaal is absolutely sensational. James Spader in one of his best ever performances. Sick and hilarious one of the best love stories ever written.

Ohh, I LOVE Secretary. I am glad they treated their relationship with some respect and tastefulness, not just as comedy fodder. I'm sure lots of people might find parts of the film twisted and disgusting, but I found it sweet and accurate....

The poster makes it look likes its sci-fi but its pretty straight up horror. Not great but enjoyable for what it was. |
