I saw this in the theater when it came out, and I was not too impressed. I saw it gain last night on the HBO, with a couple of fat bowls loaded and ready and it was a lot more enjoyable. it is a lot funnier than I remembered it. M. Night Shamalamadingdong should do more comedy. the funny stuff in this movei is very good.

Well, Harmony Korine wasn't chuffed either. The fact of the matter is that a lot of parents don't want to acknowledge what their kids are doing behind their backs and the film breaks certain taboos. |

If you really honestly think that a film like Kids breaks existing taboos, then you have just not watched that much of the past 50 years of cinema. what that film does is, like doom generation, just show pathetic excuses for human beings, wastes of human life actually, wasting their life in a faux-nihilistic manner. it is not entertaining to me and that is my first rule of film, it must entertain. any movie that has me checking my watch every ten minutes and hoping everyone on screen would just die and end their meaningless existances is crap in my book.

It's nothing new to us Rob, but that doesn't say that most parents are as aware of what their children are getting up to. It's certainly not a feel good movie. Does it have to please the public for it to be a good film?
I think not. |

my point exactly. it's a film made to shock, it doesn't present a well thought out story or an artistic expression. it's just a film for mainstream moviegoers to get scared to. --- LAST ONE I SAW: shadow of a doubt what a fucking awesome movie!!! |

Y'know they're making that. With *holds breath* Keanu Reeves. He'd be able to do Klaatu I guess! I still don't get why the studios insist on remaking all these great, classic films. The Birds is also being remade, with Naomi Watts . At what point did they think "Y'know Bob, I was watching The Birds last night and I was thinking 'let's remake this film'. It's getting on a bit now, and there's no nude scenes in the film. So lets remake it. I'm sure it'll be better than the original" Fuckin asses So anyways, yesterday I watched... Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid-I should of seen this before but I haven't. It was a nice film to watch. Nightmare on Elm Street-HER EYESBROWS!! She has caterpillars for eyebrows.

saw this yesterday with my girlfriend. I fucking loved it. The director used some very long shots, which made the insanity and tension that much more freaked out. I really fucking loved it. It is not about gadgets or anything typically Sci Fi, but I say this is the best science fiction movie to come out in the last ten years.
