Boring is a terrible subjective adjective, unless I'm the one using it.

I'd thought that the NME are too busy sucking the collective cocks of Chris Martin, Pete Doherty and Bobby Gillespie to have any time to giving stuff proper reviews. They're bigger whores than the ladies of the Reeperbahn.

ok, im gonna add my 2 cents worth in. ive just finished listening to the album for the first time.. straight through whilst doing some shit around the house... gave it a proper listen... and all i can say is a resounding..."meh".
its not shite as in piss poor razorlight or coldplay shite.. by no means is it the worst album ive ever heard but its just meh, i prefer beck when he was a bit out of tune and a bit more stoned...albeit designer stoned "man"... steve threw up is and always will be his masterstroke! |

i prefer more adult beck like sea change or modern guilt. I hate mellow gold. i like his electronics, beats and his vox in infromation (cellphones down) and modern guilt (youthless, walls, replica)

Alright, I suppose I expected to be giving another 'meh' and yes, my rating for the album is a disappointed 'meh'.
Walls and Modern Guilt are my favourites, but it seems like Danger Mouse put more effort into this than Beck did. Something tells me Beck has pushed himself too far away from his roots to even remember what they were. |

I read that Danger Mouse was having a hard time keeping up with Beck, actually, that he'd go to bed while Beck worked late into the night. Could have just been a friendly publicity statement, though.

honestly i'm surprised this inspired a seven page thread, everything i've heard off this (and indeed anything of becks for the last however long it is since sea change) is a big shrug, both from beck and the listener.
