Pot is great but it hardly justifies the amount of energy people spend deifying it. At the end of the day it's a leaf that, when smoked, somehow makes 80s Power Ballads seem like the greatest thing in the history of mankind. That's the effect it has on me, anyway.
Kyuss = Stoner Rock? pfft. Have these people never actually heard Vixen's 'Edge of a Broken Heart'? |

Wikipedia defines stoner rock as "Kyuss."

Which only demonstrates Wikipedia's prejudice against big fuck-off choruses.

I just want to have a go at sustaining the whole weight of mass-turdness this thread has produced, even though I can't face its browness alone by myself.

I think I'm off of pot because of the drug war. I really don't like the idea of being associated with the violence.
Guess I'll have to move back to AK where I know the guy who grows it.

getting baked doesnt really evoke great story events in my experience.
The best out-of-it I've had with pot also involved alcohol, codiene, and valium. Though it didn't make me do anything special aside from feeling the love and laying on the floor and being really excited about that. It is a dumb combo and I really wouldnt do it again.

Oh man... there was the time I had to talk to cops while baked because I was a witness to my friend's suicide.. that one isn't very funny though.
I sell more than I actually smoke. That's led to some fun... not much fun: finding out your girlfriends dad (girlfriend is totally anti smoking) used to buy weed from you. There was the time I some how wound up skateboarding on an ice rink... I dont' really remember what led up to it but weed was involved. Um yeah most of my stories are either too drawn out or just sad XD

You make fair point. But I get confused, the invasion of Iraq happened because Saddam had massive stockpiles of crack, right? |

Oh right, he meant actual violence like in gangs etc. I thought he was making a joke, pretending he had misunderstood the term "war on drugs". So I did a joke pretending to have confused government policy/propaganda.

Yeah, I guess I was a bit vague. I'm talking about the gang/cartel violence in and around mexico and elsewhere. Having people die so that I can get high does not seem right. And yeah, it is largely due to the 'war on drugs'. The war has destabilized the system and everyone is trying to exert their power and gain the authority.
If I knew the stuff was grown locally by an actual stoner, that might be something else.

Last night we smoked a joint sitting in this quasi-religious symbol on the ground in a park and stared at the clouds. I was convinced that every cloud was some kind of being smoking a bong. We then started laughing for what felt like ages at exactly how baked we were (we shared 2 joints and I punched 7 cones earlier)
