I don't know how anybody could dislike an album such as Kill Em All.

tons of people don't like kill 'em all because it's too simplistic and straight forward compared to the following three albums.
as for me, i love it, it's like technical cali-hardcore punk with shitty lyrics. |

i love that scene in the 'some kind of monster' dvd with mustaine and lars talkin it out, its sorta intense, i know this is lame of me to say but its kinda cool knowing mustaine isnt always a shit talking deauche bag who got kicked outta the best metal band of all time for being a drunk shit talking asshole.

'kill em all' has been in my stereo forever now.
from what ive heard about 'death magnetic', it sounds like its gonna be amazing, back to the 80s shit, but thats what they always say. luckily they ditched that lame producer and got ricj rubin on board, yknow, the guy who did that record 'reign in blood'.

metallica broke up after the black album, then some trendy industry people took their places and started to call themselves metallica.
i doubt i'll be listening to the new album, i will listen to the singles, eventually. but yeah, can't wait to hear robert trujillo play slap and pop funky bass with james saying "ye-heah!" every two seconds. rick rubin is a shit awful producer and a retard, the reason why he is such an "amazing" producer is because he lets the bands do whatever they want, tells them to keep it simple and lets them record for as long as they like. |

I wouldn't deny that Rick Rubin has produced some great albums, but given the amount of dross he's over-seen, I do wonder about his enormous reputation. I actually think a large part of it is in his appearance. He looks like the real deal. You see a photo and think, yeah, this guy eats Harley tyres for breakfast. Cool. |

most of the great albums he produced are done by already great artists that don't need much producing (clear example: johnny cash).
the deal with his look thought is that you think "this guy eats harley tyres for breakfast, but he's too at peace with his zen mind not to". |

and 'seasons in the abyss', and 'paul's botique' and 'yo! bum rush the show' and 'american recordings' and 'system of a down' etc., hes best with thrash type bands. he has done a lot of shit though, no doubt.

"st*anger" it says on the spine. Could easily be misread as "stranger." As in "imposter." As in "NOT REALLY METALLICA AT ALL - THEY'RE OFF SOMEWHERE RECORDING A GOOD ALBUM."
I love Mark Prindle. |

Yeah, new album will be their best in a while I think.
I like everything they've done, though obviously the stuff after Justice wasn't as good... all their records have tons of good riffs at least. |

I used to hate Metallica. But after I got into black metal I gave some of their songs a listen on Youtube... I love Master of Puppets (the song), I'm going to buy Master of Puppets as soon as get some money.
