elephant and other stories by Raymond Carver.

Not read anything by him b4, but thought i'd explore as H.Murakami seems to cite hime alot and after reading this i can see why, gonna track down the rest of his stuff..

John Barth - The Floating Opera. I'm actually getting pretty tired of this overly self conscious post modern stuff. Vonnegut is one of the few authors in that style who I'm not sick of. I'm moving onto Graham Greene next. Probably the Comedians.

It does drag, more than I thought it would. I'm around the 100 page mark, too. I might not make it all the way through.

Raymond Carver is the man....one of my favorite writers. One of my creative writing teachers got me into him when I was in college.
