I'm really going at a snails pace though. I'm on page 102. THere are a lot of really great parts, but then a lot of the stuff drags.

More than two-thirds through Pattern Recognition. Very sympathetic protagonist considering my similar nameplusinitial screen name and own, though less severe, allergy to trademarks. Fortunately no techno/business intrigue.

The part with the asian porn that she found on the history of her computer scared me. That would freak me out.

John Barth - The Floating Opera. I'm actually getting pretty tired of this overly self conscious post modern stuff. Vonnegut is one of the few authors in that style who I'm not sick of. I'm moving onto Graham Greene next. Probably the Comedians.

It does drag, more than I thought it would. I'm around the 100 page mark, too. I might not make it all the way through. Life's too short to read boring books.

Great book cover! I could develop a fetish about buying new copies of the books I love with new cool covers.

Right now I'm reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
And at some thrift stores, I bought these books: The Complete Plays of Aristophanes Brave New World - Huxley Much Ado About Nothing - Shakespeare Hamlet - Shakespeare A Room With a View - EM Forster The Nature of Emotion - some random psychology book that looked cool
