I'm a bit disappointed, I expected something more poetic and less "down-to-earth", some parts could have been more subtle, excellent acting though.

I've also heard Ron Jeremy is a cool guy. I forgot about him being in Orgazmo, although he was effectively playing himself in that. Sounds like the same deal with One Eyed Monster, although I've not seen that one. I'd like to see him in a 'proper' role. I really think he has the charisma to do it. Same with Katie Morgan, who as far as I know only played a porn star in a mainstream film. Although in her case, I'm not sure she has the personality to pull off anything else. Nina Hartley would be good (she was in Boogie Nights but, again, effectively playing herself - although it did include some other ex pornstars playing straight, non-porn related parts). Vanessa Del Rio once had a small part in NYPD Blue but in that instance she really was playing herself.

Besides Ron Jeremy, I'd say Evan Stone could do a comedy part as well as most of the big names in Hollywood, Julia Ann could breeze her way through any high end soap opera and I'd love to see Lexi Belle in some kind of (non xxx parody) superhero thing. But then I'd happily watch Lexi Belle in some kind of anything. It's just a shame Charlie Sheen can't pull more strings.

Not personally although I did actually meet her once and she seemed very together and clearly has some talent beyond just porn. She'd definitely be one of the more obvious choices for a mainstream crossover. She has a pretty broad fanbase, too, which would help.

One admires Cassavette's independence and his tenacity, the fantastic performances he gets, the freewheeling structure of his flicks, and a number of other fine qualties.

But his stuff is mostly as dull as a bad fuck.

a woman under the influence is amazing. i probably wouldnt watch it again, but it is a beautiful movie. and geena rowland's performance there is one of the best performances that i have everseen. peter faulk is pretty great as well.
