unfortunately i watched neon genesis evangelion after i had done extensive therapy which is why i didn't find it as mind-blowing as other people (the guy battling his own depression).

i do love satoshi kon though and am still sorry he died. what a fucked loss.

i've seen some of iain and liked it but have never been able to get a hold of the whole thing-- thought you just reminded me i have to put it on my list.

my favorite anime ever is probably samurai champloo-- for aesthetics, humor, narrative structure, etc-- i still have to find something to top that.
