Driller Killer is good and I can't see you not liking Bad Lieutenant. One that I love though and which i think you might be into but which tends to go under the radar a bit is The Blackout. Awesome film.

I think The Driller Killer is worth watching. It has a genuine 70s grimy New York feel to it that appeals to me a great deal. I struggled with Bad Lieutenant but then I struggle with Harvey Keitel.
I also remember enjoying King of New York but it's been so long since I saw it I couldn't tell you too much about it. I'm sure that's of no help whatsoever. |

Another good one that tends to have been forgotten (maybe because it's not strictly a rape revenge movie) is 10 till Midnight. Charles Bronson again, but now playing a cop hunting a rapist. And of course the first Mad Max is ultimately a total rape revenge movie. |

Haha! I can imagine. I was considering recommending Wagon Master but then I could've just as easily recommended everything. His cavalry films are also absolutely essential: Fort Apache, Rio Grande, She Wore A Yellow Ribbon, all contribute to his big themes. Something I like about Ford is the sense I get when watching his films that I'll grow to love them even more as I get older. |

the best rape and revenge movie i have seen was "thriller: a cruel movie"
it's swedish and the style of it all seemed pretty artsy and realist and i thought it was supposed to be some serious message movie. and then when i looked at who made it... it was all porno people! the sex scenes in this movie scared the shit out of me, but if they were intended to be sexy that just makes the movie more scary the lead actress was great too, it's a shame she didn't make any non pornos |

oh! you should watch it if you like that subject. pretty good, sorta, if a bit stereotyped-- i'd try to read the novel maybe. but i did like the movie, in all. |

i don't have netflix but it was popular so i'm sure i could download it. i've been off movies the last week or so since i've gotten back into music.
also i'm pretty pissed at film in general since the show i was backgrounding on premiered and i'm completely absent in the episode, i'm a bit sour after going through so many hours living the rough life on set ala 1860s nebraska and ending up with no screen time |
