it's a suction cup.
according to this, the glass on the imac is held by magnets, a gentle pull and it comes off.
add a couple of unscrewing to that and you will get to the hard drive, no genius involved.

Over the past year, I have sold a good 600 vhs tapes and am burning dvd's on a friend's computer (for the rarer vhs's), ordering bootlegs (again, for the rarer vhs's), and buying dvd's of films I really really like so I can sell the remaining 300 or so vhs's I have left...

I love VHS.. and certainly I don't think DVD is going to last forever, either, but I do want to preserve the films i love...

I'm a little OCD about my posters and they have to be in frames, otherwise I'd have my room plastered with every poster I have. Right now I only have 5 up.
