Seven is a great movie. Pointless? Seriously? You must have watched a chopped-up hour long TV version or something.

And the comparison to Hostel is insulting.

Take the blood out of Seven and it's still a great meditation on human evil and the complexities of dealing with that evil.

Take the blood out of Hostel and you have a half hour of boring teens dicking around Europe.

Fuck all y'all. I'm watching Seven tomorrow.

meditation on evil? Come on. It is a movie, meant to entertain, It's "meditations" are puerile and basic. It's ideas are relegated to the backseat while the "style" of it's particular grossness is what is pushed to the fore. It did that well. It was very gross, but the story? Pointless.
