I've only been mean to my guitars a couple times...that's what I like about my old mustang with my shitty refinish I did...it's beat to hell and I carved chout into the paint...at this point I still treat it well, but I'm not too worried about how it looks.
I threw it down at a show once when I was pissed and threw my Les Paul really hard onto my bed once...surprised the neck didn't break. A pedal bounced onto the body and dented it on the front...damn soft mahogany.

Yeah I just think it might look more rusted peice of crap than vintage. But maybe you're right. My strat is going dandy.
