Tonight: Flying Dog's Double Dog Double Pale Ale. 11.5 percent ABV. Malty, hoppy. Wow, what a beer. Probably my all-time favorite. For now.

I first had Sol, warm, on a Mexican bus, somewhere in the Yucantan jungle. it's kind of skunky, but not bad (the secret to Mexican beer is Bavarian brewmeisters).

I prefer Sam Adams Cream Stout and Shiner Bock.

the bus threw a tread and we were trapped 2 hours from the coast (where we needed to be).

desperate measures / desperate situations

the bus driver ended up fixing the loose tread by taking his machete to it.
