Isn't she though? I do like the one on the right, but I suspect her manners to be somewhat lacking.

I think she ended up being a villian in the Bond movie she appeared in. I think anyway.
Oh my. |

I didn't know that Maud Adems was Swedish.
Had the impression she was British...

I was going to start a thread for this, but I figured it is related in one way or another to this discussion. Not to mention this would probably be of interest to you wonderful people who frequent this thread.
While visiting the home pages of some shortwave radio stations I came across Radio Minsk (Belarus). After switching the displayed language of the page to English, I started scanning the site for a 'listen live' link, what caught my eye however, was 'watch live'. Thats right, you can watch The National Broadcasting Station of Belarus live. Granted I have no interest in aimless propaganda from Alexander Lukashenko. Doesn't he just look evil? Anyway, this prompted me to google 'watch live tv', and sure enough there is a hub for it. I watched quick segments of live television fro Belize, India, and Vietnam. Strange stuff, of course. The Indian channel informed me that India has defeated England in cricket (sorry Hipster!). Here is the site: wwiTV.com Neat, right? |

We batted very poorly, we deserved to lose. Thanks for the link. I'm going to scan the shortwave in a little while.

Bucharest is at it agin, hosting more conferences.
Over 180 representatives of the Romanian communities in Europe have gathered in Bucharest to attend a conference organized by the Department for relations with Diaspora, within the Romanian Foreign Ministry. The goal of the event is to start a direct dialogue between members of the Romanian Diaspora and the Romanian authorities. In a message to the participants, president Traian Basecu underlined that, as member of the European Union, one of Romania’s priority objectives will be to strengthen the relationship with the Romanian Diaspora. He has also stated that in a united Europe, we need powerful Romanian communities, in order to preserve Romanian identity and tradition. I would draw your attention to the final sentence: a united Europe, we need powerful Romanian communities, in order to preserve Romanian identity and tradition. What the fuck this guy's joining the EU for is beyond me, if he wants to preserve things like culture and tradition.

The EU is the West's greatest proponent of oppression and cultural dismantling since World War Two, and they're doing it with our tax money, in our name. Soon, anything in Romania that comes close to 'traditional' will have been outlawed because of health and bloody safety. They're screwed.

Lies and money make the EU go round. It's a living socialist hell of high tax, low freedom, do as you're told, we know best corruption. A haven for megalomniacs, thieves, wannabe dictators and cash-crazed parasites.

Definitely need to do some reading on this, as I seem pretty ignorant on the whole. Other than the basics. It doesn't sound much unlike our current state of corruption. This is not a good thing.
The Ex have a song on the subject of the EU and its responsible irresponsibles, The Idunno Law. |

Mmmm. All I want is a nice open market, as little tax as possible, and what tax we do pay spent wisely. And politicians who are answerable and responsible for their actions. INstead we get this internatioanl socialist thingy, and it sucks.
Sorry about that. I'm listening to one of those (I assume) middle-eastern stations that play really nice music but never broadcast in English. So it's just nice music, with no references or identification.
