+1 on Peel Session's boxset - the version of "New Puritans" will make your IQ rise by at least 80.

I've never asked this before but if anyone wants to figure out how to play that riff in Barmy for me I'd be happy. For some reason I just can't get it down.

Oh wait.
Yes there is. I checked this like a month ago and didn't see it on there. Uhhhhh./ Hey thanks. I knew it was simple, I just thought there were more different notes than what's in this tab. The "Bombast" riff has to be the best. It could almost be smoke on the water! You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later. |

the fall is my favourite band at this very moment
anecdote: when i was in london (not over this summer but last fall) i went into start (brix and her husband own a designer clothing shop, it's in shoreditch) mostly to buy clothes because they have some really ace stuff in there and i chatted to brix for a bit, mostly about fashion

okay what? are you using a translator? you're going to have to explain that question to me.
she's very nice, i might add, and has a brilliant eye for clothes.

oh, you mean what else besides fashion did we talk about?
a little about music, i asked if she's doing anything musically but her focus right now is the store and all the fashion stuff. she seems pretty happy doing it, like she's really enthusiastic about the clothes in the shop and she picks them all herself.

Can someone help me with the Fall? I've never been quite that sure of them. I started off with Perverted by Language which i never got into right at the time because of the terrible opening track. Later then I bought Hex enduction Hour on the whim seeing it in a record shop and knowing that a lot of people say it's their best. I love Hex Enduction Hour totally and got me back into perverted and all the really great stuff like Deer Park, Wings, Hip Priest and Smile. Then recently I bought Fall Heads Roll and I really don't like it that much at all beyond the Aspen song - it doesn't really sound like the same band (though im aware it isnt) and really simplfied down not anywhere near as lyrical, etc... Like everything that was good about the band on Hex and Perverted... So it's hard for me to tell if I like them - There's some stuff that I absolutely love by them and some stuff I can't stand or just annoys the fuck out of me.
Getting to the point what Fall album should I go for next? I hear the Peel Sessions is an essential I should save up for but aside from that what album should I go for? |
