One of my girlfriend's mates has swine flu now. Not long until I am infected, and I actually can't wait. I'm going to give it to everybody.

I'd imagine the dust would be a problem.

Greetings pop pickers. I just had a hellish bus journey - the damn thing was shaking around and made me want to throw up.
Also - a big smacked bum to the clown who started a fire at Grove Park, thereby delaying my train endlessly today. Bah grumble whinge.

Hi Satan . Yeah, I am glad that ride is over. Jesus, it's at times like that I wish I owned a car.
I was having a chat w/one of my half-sisters today, and she was going on about the absurd ubiquity of Lady Gaga, La Roux etc (she works in "celeb" publishing, so she has to take an interest in this stuff). I think Lady G is a show-off extraordinaire, but I do admire her nerve. La Roux just sounds like some Italian Disco starlet from 1983. Apparently she has big hair too, according to half-sis. And to round off, Dad Melly played the Kinks and The Carpenters today - big nuff respect to Dad M.

the kermit one is amazing.
this is my friend's dad on the right. i never got to meet him when i lived up near my friend. now i'm sad. because that hair is real. he's english and supposedly god-like with a guitar, and i'm guessing the dude on the left plays with him.

IMHO Gaga is by far the most interesting pop star to come along for a long long time. Every girl I talk to about her seems to hate her- I mean, I will admit that she does come across as a massive slag, and this does nothing for the advancement of women in an already-sexist society, but that's all part of the act, the slag thing, isn't it? I'm rambling now. What I'm trying to say is that she isn't consciously and maliciously trying to be anti-feminist or whatever, so deez bitches should cool theyselves out. |

Yeah, she is an actual musician and songwriter which is what I find validating too. She has been writing behind the scenes in the industry for years. Apparently she went to University when she was 17. Brainbox for real. I remember reading an article about her and Lady Starlight, and how they, with a collective of other artists were working in some sort of Warhol Factory-like environment, and thats whats led to these insane performances and costumes.

She's not awful, that's for sure. I'm not sure but I think I kinda liked that. This is actually the first time I've heard her.
