has anyone else purchased this app?
it's called Bloom and I've spent hours and hours with it. it's billed as being "part instrument, part composition and part artwork". basically, you tap out a few tones on the screen and then the app loops it. after you stop tapping, the app will then "evolve" the tones you've created into a new piece of music. it's total fucking genius and worth the price of the iPhone alone. after posting this, I see that there's an even newer app called Trope that is the same concept, but apparently "darker". it's $4 but I must fucking have it. |

Kidding. My friend has an iphone, I'm going to make him get it. Your description makes it sound kinda like a cooler version of that DS game Electroplankton. |

my only regret is that you can't save songs. |

Bloom is alright...
It's not a user based as I thought it'd be.... I think it's coolest for plugging into good dock and letting the simulated stuff play on. I'd say it's as charming as a nice set of wind chimes. Take that for what it's worth, but I love wind chimes. when in "create" function, the note response taps out kinda early when compiling them. It has no method of recording (many similar apps do). It'd be nice to have an option note grid in case you want to actually hit harmonizing notes. I like the looping ability w/ the create going. The sounds are very nice and the "listen" function is where the love is. Nice touch with the sleep timer so you can set it on listen and play it out to sleep to. If you like this, you'd probably love "Bebot".... although the sounds aren't as soothing, it's more interactive, precise and more features... and only $2. also, another one of my favorites is "DigiDrummer". I got side tracked though on the nudge link davenotdead linked.... I was having fun with that. I've never seen that, thanks for the heads up on that one... I'm not going to get much work done! http://inudge.net/inudge#/3sry
