Yeah, excellent interview.
I love blasting Venearology as I drove down the road in 100 degree weather. |

i just think its funny that he's more of a hippy than actual hippies, like he's total more hippie than jerry garcia; that gluttonous motherfucker smoked ciggies and ate raw meat in wholly uhealthy proportions.

I just downloaded the first 7 volumes of the 13 birds collection. Can't wait to hear 'em. I love merzbow. I have around 100 albums by him. I definitely want to try to get them all someday.

HOLY SHIT!
Merzbow's "13 japanese birds part 1: suzume" might be the best thing he's done in FOREVER. Return to analogue sound with INSANE drumming... holy fuck this is great! |

I have been listening to Merzbow for nearly 10 years of my life, and I've always enjoyed his work but it's really been in the past year or two that I've really LOVED what he's doing. His "music" is extremely pleasurable to my ears. Very addictive. Some of the most interesting "music" ever made. Sometimes I'll listen full blast and feel like I'm on drugs afterwards. Brilliant stuff.

And with that, I'd like to announce that I'm going to upload the 13 Japanese Birds collection on this thread, as they become available! These are awesome, important albums, and they need to be heard. Since each cd is limited to 1,000 copies and there are a shit-ton of subscribers and they all sold out within like an hour, I think it's quite alright to post these on here. I've zipped up volumes 1, 2, 3... and 4, 5, 6.... all together, but they're huge .rar's so it's going to take me a while to upload them. Here's volume 7, though: http://www.mediafire.com/?wjjay0rgj3n |

Oh. Damn.. Well they'll definitely be oop forever soon, and I figure the 3 people on here interested in merz probably would already be subscribers to the bamboo box or something.
I'll upload 4, 5, and 6 later either way. If I get some complaints I'll remove the links. |

If you think about it everything will be OOP one day, so we might as well just file share to our heart's content now to save the hassle in the future

Haha. Yeah, maybe...
All I know is, the "subscription series" for these cd's is sold out, and really if people wanted these they could get on slsk or blogs and d/l them in about 2 seconds. I'm merely uploading themself to.. well.. I dunno, save others the hassle. But, yeah, just about everything in the "noise scene" does go OOP quickly. |
