At the Democratic Presidential debate tonight on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Senator John Edwards let it be known that Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has taken in more money for her campaign from insurance and health care companies, drug companies, and defense contractors than any other candidate, Democrat or Republican. It seems she's gonna owe a lot of corrupt and powerful people some favors if she gets elected.
He also said that only himself and Barack Obama (among the candidates running for either party) have not accepted money from political action committees during this election. And Edwards stated a promise to withdraw all troops out of Iraq during his first year in office. |

Oh yeah, certainly. As Sen. Dodd put it tonight, electability is not to be taken lightly. At the time, Dodd was making a point that in recent polls, half responded that they would never vote for Sen. Clinton.
Edwards has the right stance on the issues, and he's the only Democrat that can beat any ticket the Republicans come up with. He also admitted that he is not perfect, and that he did accept PAC contributions previous to this campaign, but no longer. http://johnedwards.com/splash/ |

i agree with that. i just wish there was someone to really believe in (for lack of a better term). it always feels like having to go with the lesser of two evils when it comes down to it. |

One of my former coworkers saw him walking through the crowd near her and says she thought to herself, "That is the prettiest looking man I've ever seen!"

Tonight's debate also shed light on former President Bill Clinton's request to dismiss the current lawsuit demanding that Hillary's correspondence in the Clinton Presidential Library be available under the Freedom of Information Act.

i've been a big edwards supporter from the beginning and can't fathom how john kerry ever beat him in the primaries for the 2004 election. i think he could have beat bush first time around if he was running against bush and not as VP. i think an edwards/obama ticket is the way to go, and maybe he does as well.

I think Edwards should sport a Mohawk, y'know, so people would know he meant business.

Edwards/Obama would be a great Democratic Party ticket.
And they are the two (along with Chris Dodd too) telling it most like it is when it comes to Hillary. Quote:
Unfortunately, barring anything surprising, that seems to be exactly what will take place yet again in the general election. Due to overwhelming ignorance and apathy during the primary season, American voters will once again limit themselves to a lesser-of-two-evils toss-up. It'll be Sen. Hillary Clinton against former mayor Rudy Giuliani. Now that's a scary thought for Halloween. Run for the fucking hills. |
