The Crucifucks' "Our Will Be Done" CD, originally issued in 1992, has been reissued on Alternative Tentacles on July 10th. The CD is a compilation of the band's first two albums and features Steve Shelley on drums on some of the tracks.

This is one of the greatest records of our punk time. Like the Operation Ivy cd when ur 14. The lead ins are great for instance when they're on the phone with the cop and they suggest "you should have a little more respect in your job" GREAT!

That first Crucifucks record is hilarious. Steve's drumming shines through the mediocre instrumentation, with the singer possessing one of the most ridiculously annoying voices in punk.

Oh really? I thought he wanted to move to NYC so he left the band and then it just kinda worked out that SY needed a drummer and Steve was watching Kim and Thurston's appartment at the time (they were out on tour or something) so they asked him to join. I could be wrong! |

hmm, now would be a good time to mention legendary wrock writer mark prindle's page on the crucifucks, which i believe sums up their work nicely (got me to listen to them---i'll spare my comments for now), and even has a response from a real live crucifuck! (no, not steve)
http://www.markprindle.com/crucif.htm if you've never seen his site before, and you like his style of writing, explore his main page cuz i'll bet he reviews at least 80% of your (general "your") favorite bands, and he's fucking hilarious. i disagree w/ a fair amount of his SY reviews but still find them great to read.

haha yeah I regularly mention my love for mark prindle.
Me and him email each other about movies quite often... in the 7 years, I've probably sent him 100 emails, and he's responded to each one. Crazy. He's fucking hilarious. |
