Yeah, that kind of shit sucks. My 300 gig external hard drive fried and it took me like 8 months to get it fixed.

yeah, the only thing that realy sucks is a ton of my songs i got off my friend/former band mate david's computer. a lot of grindcore, digital grindcore, industrial, screamo. anyways, a lot of good tunes. so, to get those back i have to use his computer again. problem is hes in tucson, im in boston. stil, very fixable, but very annoying.

Yeah, at least it still works. Mine has something physically wrong with the hard drive, a scratch or something. Anyway, it's gone.

I really don't care about my ipod, I dunno why I have one. I prefer CDs, at least they don't blow up at random inconvenient times.
My opinion is probably because I only ever listen to music in my room, so uhh there isn't much point in portability at my end. |

I'm not even sure how this could happen. iPod connects through USB and if lightening fries Yr mobo then it shouldn't continue on through the USB.
Do reboot of ipod and then make sure the directory didn't just get fucked up somehow (look at it as a drive in yr file manager). That really sucks. I use Podworks to backup the tracks on mine. |

I lost about 6,000 tracks when my 1st notebook died. Luckily my tech was available to salvage about 3/4 of them.
I've dropped my ipod like 7 feet onto concrete while listening to it and after a reboot it was fine. I listen to music on the go all the time and mine is like an extension of my being. Original silver cds rarely leave the shelf because it's a super pain in the ass to track them down if they're damaged or stolen. iPods, while more expensive, are available anywhere.

I'm telling you yr shit is still there. Lightening doesn't know how to over-write 1s and 0s.
Try reboot! Hold middle and top button of wheel at once. |
