i was just browsing spotify and came across a sonic youth song i never heard of before.
https://play.spotify.com/album/5uncr...tm_medium=open since i never saw it mentioned here before, (maybe i missed), i think it might be new to some other people as well. i quite like it. |

interesting, google can't find it anywhere but spotify or itunes. Which I both don't have and don't want to. But google also says it's by a band called Octopus Ride and it's featuring Sonic Youth. It might also be that they've included SY as the artist to attract more listeners.
Is it studio or live? Does it include any vocals by SY members?

But what? I tried searching via what lyrics I could make out (such as "falling down on your knees") but came up empty. "JC" has "Falling down upon my knees," but that's not it. Other fragments also dead ends. The fuck is this?

the kim vocals are definitely something special.. it's not some random interview or something.. but i don't think i ever heard this somewhere else.
after listening to some other of their songs, i suppose it's them playing the instruments, though i could imagine this to be a sonic youth improv. odd it's credited as sonic youth, but i still like these small random findings. |
