artsygrrl, lets just say i have a few old friends that smoke too much crack.
lol. and leave it at that. i guess the lesson is, when you try and extricate yourself from a particular scene, it can take nuance, because some people don't like it when others don't want to get dragged down into the mire with them. |

Van Halen is such an easy band to make fun of (and really, I've never been too much of a fan even though "Hot for Teacher" is a fun song)...but it can't be denied, Eddy Van Halen was doing some very inovative stuff on guitar.

wow, ha, almost sounded for a sec like there was some flipper trying to break out of the rock strut.
you know the death threat thread, you saw it before i edited it. well not the guy who threatened me, but the guy who was with him. his dad used to be in THIS band. he was the drummer, see the bit at the start with the record cover with the girl on it, he's the guy looking at her. he owns his own house, and i used to go party there a lot. neighbours go nuts. me and his son are upstairs headbanging to sepultura and black metal, and he comes up and starts smoking cigs with us and playing acoustic. hadnt seen him for a while, apparently he was in jail for drink and breaking court orders but i saw him on the high street the other day. fucking u2 supported THEM, he told me al these stories about playing on tv, and all the crazy shit about touring. his son is about the only actual friend i have left in this town. he knows more black metal than i do, and ive gotten him into noise. great guy. unfortunately he is all about the drugs so i dont hang with him because of that. |

there have been so few bands from this country. you prob might not have heard of joyrider, who were a 90's alternarock band from my town.
the singers daughters the same, a mad ketamine head and graffiti artist. she was really into nirvana so i burnt her a bootleg dvdr of the reading 92 performance years before it came out on dvd, and she said she was watching it and her dad walked in and said "i was there, i played that festival". fucking kids of rockstars tho, complete junkies larl. |

haha. That's fucking amazing.
Nirvana "reading festival" has the distinction of being one of the 3 dvd's I watched while I had the swine flu earlier this year. The other two were "THe Deerhunter" (one of the best movies I've ever seen -- when I first saw it at 12 years old, I thought it was boring; now I think it's ana bsolute MASTERPIECE) and "Branded to Kill" (which quickly became one of my favorite films of all time, I watched it 3 times that first week I had it -- 3 times! -- and it's now in my top 10 of all time). So, that was an awesome week to watch things. Despite being the sickest I've ever been! First time I've heard the expression "ketamine head" btw, haha. |

oh wow.
someone should get a tattoo of a heroin needle on their arm, and have it be, like, a "connect the dots" with the "dots" being where they've shot up. |
