And no this doesn't have to do with the fashion police. I was told to write my own story for the fashion magazine for which I am an intern, so I pitched a story about people stealing clothes. I don't have any real details. I am gonna start off with my personal experience, mention my new friends who shop lift like crazy, go into celeb shit (Winona...any one else?), and ultimately explore the relationship between crime and clothing because it clearly is not a necessity thing, though there is that grander question of stealing food to live type thing.
But yeah. The main point of this thread is to draw from your pop-culture knowledge and find more celebrities who have been caught stealing or anything related. All input appreciated. And people who tell me to do my own work, fuck off if you think opening a discussion in order to gain a more comprehensive perspective on the topic is a bad thing.

one of my sisters used to 'borrow' the other's clothing all the time, get it skanked out dirty, put it back(Sometimes) without washing or telling her. There were things thrown and holes bashed into doors on a regular basis.
Not sure I have any celeb stories. I don't really read rag mags so I'm not up with that kind of thing.

my stepsisters have the habit of borrowing each other's clothes too. they usually end up at their moher's place then. (when they're here, they're at their father's) my youngest stepsister has her room close to mine so when i came to live here she started borrowing my stuff too. the only poblem: when she takes some of her sister's stuff, her sister takes it back at their mother's place. when my stuff ends up there i don't easily get it back, so i kindly asked her to stop it (it's also annoying to suddenly miss a shirt you were going to wear)
i still miss a belt or two. |

are you familiar with Vice Magazine's Do's/Dont's List ? So what if Anton Newcombe’s a sloppy drunk whose only real talent is convincing record-industry benchwarmers that he’s a genius? Eight years ago he wrote half an OK song and he’s still looking great! The problem with saying that marijuana doesn't lead to violent impulses is that only applies to the people who smoke it. Older > Look at how smug this fucking genius is about the worst mistake of his life so far. Just how much TV did his dad not let him watch?

Stealing clothes is the most addictive thing EVER. I'm sure I have several thousand dollars in clothes in my closet I haven't paid for and maybe like 2 pairs of jeans I've actually paid for. It's a terrible problem, really. For me, though, it's more about the idea that if I paid for everything I wanted to own, I'd surely be broke and I've got things like weeds to pay for already. You know? Anyways, I know nothing of celebrities and their involvement in criminal activities. I just know I'm very good at walking out of stores with 10 pairs of jeans on.

haha it's fine! i'm a very patient type of person, and sending a package to some kid in belgium is probably not top on your priorities list, that's perfectly understandable :P
when it does arrive i'll pretend it's my birthday and see it as an excuse to eat cake. |

If we want to get into ridiculous, I've walked out of a store with 6 pairs of jeans, four pairs of shoes(all tied around my legs), and several t-shirts and button-ups. It's all about efficiently concealing everything under your clothing. Backpacks aren't necessary for stealing clothes, that's a good way to get caught. I just put everything on in the changing room. If you occupy the changing room like a queen and keep going back on the floor for more things, and walk out with 50 items of clothing you didn't like, who is to suspect? "Gay people couldn't possibly need to steal clothing. They can all make it appear out of thin air." the clerk will think.
