http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2...-chile/100125/ - some good pics.
I also suggest this film: http://crimethinc.com/movies/chicago.html. A bit overlong and not as detailed as I would've liked about the US's economic engineering of Chile's economy through Friedman, the University of Chicago economists and eventually Pinochet... but it does bring to light some of the history of militant struggle there. 12 year olds are running around with more class consciousness than most adults in the west. |

Protesting and having the police use rubber bullets and sticks is kind of like a daily thing for me to see. They also have this special gas that makes people shit themselves and vomit.
Decayed Rhapsody - For some reason people don't talk about it much but the same happened in Brazil. Dictatorship only ended in 1992 really and it was some of the ugliest and bloodiest. The same thing happened in Argentina, the same exact mechanism and these countries are still struggling to recover.

Is it the same group of people who are rioting in cities all over the world? Are they known as "serial rioters"?

It's not pretty. They always say it's the most effective thing to do. They call it "moral effect bomb".
