For the 8th or 9th year in a row I am running a free Fantasy Football league, The Instigator FFL, on YAHOO.
SYG's very own Jennthebenn was the champion of the league in 2008, and I won my first championship last year. I have several slots to fill and anyone who is interested and willing to actually set their rosters weekly before the weekend's games is welcome to join. All you need is a Yahoo account. If you do not ahve one already you can set one up for free. If you have any quiestions please ask, and I will answer them promptly. Again, it is a FREE league, with a live, online draft on the 28th of August (a saturday) Hopefully I can fill it out and it will be a 12 team league. Let me know if you are interested. Rob I.

OK, I have no knowledge of NFL post Dan Marino and the Refridgerator, but I'm interested.
What do I have to do to join? |

You have to have a yahoo account, and send me your email so I can send you an invite. easy as pie.
Once done you can check out the pre-rankings of players, and adjust if you want. if you do not attend the online draft the computer will pick a team for you based on yahoo's pre-rankings.

The League will be 12 teams each week of the IFFL "season" (weeks 1-13 of the NFL season) you will have a head-to-head matchup against another team. You set your starting rosters before the games begin. So once a week you need to chekc on Friday or Saturday and set your starters. Points are awarded for offense players Touchdowns - 6 pts (whether thrown, run, or caught) yardage also gives running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends points 20 yrds = 1 pt for QB's the yardage is a little different. 30 yards = 1 pt (there are fractional points awarded, so if your RB runs for 30 yards he gets 1.5 points.) For defensive players, and the team defense, they get points for this stuff. interceptions, fumbles forced, fumbles recovered = 2 pts sacks = 1 pt blocked kick = 2 pts pass defended = 1 pt tackles = .5 pt There are negative points as well. If a QB takes a sack that = -1 pt fumbling = -2 pts The Yahoo computer calculates all this stuff, and they provide a free live stattracker that is great to run while games are on, showing you your team's live scoring. at the end of the Monday Night Football game, your team and your opposing team's points are calculated and whoever has the most points wins. The top 8 teams in wins make the playoffs. The playoffs take place during the NFL's weeks 14, 15, 16.

the world cup fantasy was a LOT more work, substituting people in day after day and doing transfers and such.
The only work you have to do is set your rosters every week. EASY AS PIE!

Is anyone else interested? There are 3 spots available in the 12 team league.
Jennthebenn, demonrail666 and myself are competing.

sorry mang but i'm going to have to skip this, and thanks for the explanation. while i realize it's super-easy to a fan like you, i remain clueless to the point that i could easily be replaced by a random number generator, and the level of effort it would require of me would be a ton greater because i have no idea what function a tight end even performs. i'll try to learn the fucking rules this year, i think i'm gonna start watching if i find the time and the commercials and the yapping of commentators do not aggravate me excessively. best wishes though and maybe next year there will be some money at stake mmm-mmm-mmm!
