Frumpies. I don't know either enough to have much of an opinion, but I like lo-fi punk (or whatever you want to classify them as) more than polished punk.

i love both bands but there's something about frumpies lo-fi angry fuzzy punk rock that i like better. plus, i love tobi vail more than kathleen hanna. they were basically bikini kill without kathleen on vocals and michelle mae (later of the make-up) was on bass.
