question: i've confirmed that the left channel of the 'satan is boring (supermix)' is indeed from 04/02/85 Rotterdam. based on tremblay's notes he provided me for the 04/26/85 show, it sure sounds like that could be the version used for the right channel of the 'supermix', but i'd really like to confirm.

yes it does matter.chris i can't confirm it but i've been listening to the right channel of the "supermix" and the track from 4/26/85 for....well way too long and it does sound the same...in particular the snare sound...i suck at this stuff though...hopefully emmanuel can shed some light on it....i'm interested to know too

emmaneul's comment on my site says: "The last part of the show contains a long 15 minute version of 'Satan is Boring'. There's a noise jam for a couple of minutes that segues into the song after 'Ghost Bitch'. Then, over the usual guitar loop of 'Satan is Boring', Thurston sings 'I see a green light' with Kim and Bob playing something similar to Flower. The real 'Satan is Boring' starts about seven minutes into the song and it is a noisy and wild version much different than the original."

this sounds pretty close to the supermix. also, you can hear them go into 'brother james' at the end of the supermix, which is odd because 'satan is boring' usually closed the shows. and on 04/26/85 they do actually go into 'bro j' afterwards, so i'm as sure as i can be without hearing it myself...

do you have anyway to share the 04/26/85 show? looks like a weird cool show!

yeah, i really appreciate it! if i knew how to do that 'rep' stuff i'd be repping you all over. or something.

i was surprised lee didn't sing 'death valley' on this show, as was the norm on that tour (and the show from 'walls have ears' is two nights later and he does it there). i love '85 shows!!
