I think cats are great. Oh yes, I have proof.
Anyway, discuss cats, the musical 'cats', post pictures of your cat, or someone else's cat you googled under 'funny cat'. Do you have a cat? I would like to know. Some would have you believe I intended this thread to be about cars and simply spelt it wrong- that is untrue. Sometimes the simplest threads are the best, so heres a thread for cats. |

Cats are both cute and intelligent.
There's two very nice cats in our street called Trouble and 21, who often hang round for a stroke and a bowl of milk. I sometimes sit in the porch with a cup of coffee and the newspaper, and occaisionally they come and join me. They know it's a safe place whenever it's raining, or there's fireworks going off. All the cats in our street are nice, as it happens. The same two cats have worked out how to feed from wheelie bins; they stand on a wall next to the bin, and one lifts the lid up with his paw and climbs in. When he starts meowing, the other, who has been keeping watch, lifts the lid enough for the first cat to jump up and get a paw through the gap so that he can clamber out. There's a couple that hang round the village and come into where I work too. We also had a cat for years, who was called Whiskey. He was superb.

^ They're very cool.
When I was younger I had a friend who had two cats, a grown one and a kitten. Kevin the kitten used to claw his way up the curtains and balance precariously at the top, on the curtain rail (eight foot up). He'd wait patiently until the big cat wandered past then drop the whole eight foot and land on him, somewhat like a professional wrestler.

my family has a cat. Jenny. she always demands that i follow her into the laundry room where her food dish is even if there's food in it. she always claws my legs if i let her sit on me; as a consequence, i never let her sit on me. she's also the most vocal cat i have ever seen, constantly meowing at me.

I have a had three cats and eight kittens.
My first cat, Chester, was orange and was a tomcat. I got him when I was five. A few days after getting him, he ran outside and was hit by a car. Soon after, we got another cat, Sophie Tucker. She was one of those abused cats you get from the homeless animal shelter. She hid behind the washing machine for a week or so before she got used to coming out to eat. She was really scared of humans, and she'd scratch you if you got too near. Over time she grew better and she turned out to be really fancy. She would sit by the window in the living room and watch everything. She didn't like the dog. We also got our third cat, Flo, when we moved into the new house when I was like 7 and a lady turned up at the door with a cat and gave it to us. I named her Flo. My sister wanted to call her Jemima. Flo was a kitty whore and had 8 kittens once. We had to give them all away- so at one point, I at least had 10 cats. Flo and Sophie Tucker died within days of eachother two years ago. Flo was shot and Sophie Tucker was poisoned and had a liver failure. I buried Sophie, but I don't know what happened to Flo's body. |

I like cats, but I don't bond with them as much as I do with dogs. Though cats are really great, I prefer to spend time with a goofy little dog.

They enjoy eating the heads of live animals and will eat your buttocks if you die around them...yeah they are superior animals all right hehe. Are you into the Egyptology? But seriously, I dig the way cats move and can jump and pounce.
My first cat was a Siamese that I named "Trixie." |

I'm far more a dog person than a cat person, but there's a gorgeous cat lives in the house opposite us who has got me liking cats much more than I used to. We call her "adventure cat" because she's constantly getting into scrapes. Until recently she had a lookalike in a house a couple of doors down who was nowhere near as loveable (okay, it was a psycho), who we called "imposter cat", but thankfully that cat's family moved away. We now know that adventure cat's real name is Poppy, but we still call her adventure cat.
