I love the fact that in New York there are people who are closet Anglophiles who leaned more towards UK music scenes rather than American music scenes, and was inspired enough to form their own bands which sound kinda like homages to the UK bands they listened too, producing terrific stuff, which, ironically, people in the UK are loving. It's almost like they're returning the compliment. I wonder if Sonic Youth are fans of that whole quaint, UK inspired mini-movement that's going on at the mo in New York. |
