Fuck! I love this band. Each album from Cowboys to Trendkill are beautiful metal masterpieces. I exclude Reinventing the Steel because, well, I don't own it - I'll get onto that asap. I find these guys pretty flawless, from Anselmos vocals, obviously Dimebags guitar skills, and the double kick action, the kick drums are so punchy.

i had vulgar display of power at one time. i think it's their best. esp. the first song, that's quite the opener. |

southern trendill is my favorite, its the heaviest and most thrash like. i dont like their glam days, and im indifferent to cowboys from hell, i think VDOP is when they decided "lets be a heavy heavy fuckin metal band".

This band makes about four million times more sense than Metallica do to me. It's between the Great Southern Trendkill and Cowboys from Hell for me.

far beyond driven, it's just so dark and heavy and different from pretty much everything else.
i agree about the remixes, justin broadrick's retreatment of fucking hostile is almost better than the original. |

Dimebag was a definite shredder. No doubt.

Dimebag=legend
I was torn between either Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of Power. Put simply one of the few stupidly amazing metal bands out there.

you can say that again, rex is a dick too. -- anyhoo, yeah, cowboys is kinda ok compared to the three subsequent albums but it has some great songs in there: primal concrete sledge, domination, cementery gates, shattered. |

God, there isn't a single Pantera song that I can find worth listening to. Of course, I haven't taken the time to really search through them, there may be something I'd like.

I'm just not a fan. They're too quick for me, I suppose. I can't keep up. And I don't care much for the vocals. Although, he can belt.
