he's a bit of an actor. the fact that he DECLARES that they have her fresh skidmarks doesnt really make it so. i know a few panties i'd eat though.

I really like wild at heart, but the last time watching it is almost around 5 years in the past. my favourite work of lynch is twin peaks in its whole. it got everything lynch is a master at I think, the humor, the style, the music, the characters, the gloomy moments, perfect.
one of my favourite fliks is lost highway, this is more horror then horror can be. mulholland drive is also great. inland empire is really long, only watched it once, and dont want too say somethign abotu it too early. the TP movie is also great, but only if you know the series I think with which of his works you would compare blue velvet? |

Hmm, I dunno, it's not really like any of his works. I guess it's probably his darkest movie (in tone) except for Lost Highway, so that'd be comparable. It's more straightforward like the Twin Peaks series though. I dunno, it's a very beautiful and rewarding film.
Another great movie of his is the PG-rated (or is it G-Rated?) "Straight Story". Imagine something almost akin to a family film.. but Lynch-like. It's still quite weird and awesome. I agree, though, Twin Peaks as a whole is just un-fucking-believable... Lynch is great, he's actually a big Beefheart fan, he talks about Beefheart in "Lynch on Lynch" and he did a cover of Beefheart's "Peon".. well, it's just him reading the lyrics... but yeah, at some Beefheart celebration thing a few years back. Pretty weird. |

I saw the trailer for straight story and definately high on my list of what to see by lynch.
I also love badalamentis work on all the lynch projects, he got an awesome feel for what lynch tries to express and he nails it everytime musical wise. I think twin peaks without badalamentis work would only be the half of the fun I think. and dark is always good. lynch produces the best kind of dark I know. |
