I know several people who are afraid of dying. This has come up in several discussions. Because they will no longer be part of tis world. I just cannot understand this, dying is part of life. So I think you should just accept that you will die, and nothing more will hapen. I can undestand if you are afraid of how you are going to die, but to just be afraid of it in general, I find it kind of hard to understand.
So what do you guys think? |

I am afraid of dying before I do something important with my life.

i'm the same as victor. i'm not afraid to leave the world, i'm afraid of leaving with accomplishing anything or leaving too early.

I am much more afraid of pain than death. That said, I do rather get off on the rage of life, and hope that I can keep it going a really long time.
We are living in a generation that has some hope to see technology extend our lifetimes much more than anyone who has lived in the past (unless you take the bible literally of course.) I don't even think I'd want to live forever, but a couple centuries or three sounds mighty appealing from right here and now. |

I asked someone close to me once, if he was afraid of dying and he said yes. His explanation was that there was not going to be no more recognition of him being alive, i.e. not breathing, not doing stuff, so one. I was just struck awed by this, because this guy is a realist, and he should know this will happen to him eventually.

But don't you think, at one point you have to realize. Yes I am going to die, that is why I am living life? And just be happy that you did something in life?

I don't care about afterlife, I am hoping that there really is no one. Cause you just never know. I don't care if people remember me, when I die. Well what I am trying to say is I base my view on the Buddhist belief that I will die when I reach Karma, done everything that makes me happy.

Yeah, well, I think it'd be a lot easier to come to terms with death if I was older I'm 19 years old, still in my prime ya dig? |

I think I am more afraid to live than to die. I know I don't want to live more than 60. When my body starts to decompose slowly.

I understand, well I come from a place where death was rampant. I knew of someone who died each month, i've gotten cold to death. That is where I am coming from. |
