I bought Lilys by Lilys years ago, and have always liked it, i know they (he) are not too popular though. I just bought two more of their (his) albums on ebay, hopefully they will also be very very good!
Anyone here like them (him) ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilys http://www.myspace.com/thelilys (listen to 'The Hermit Crab') |

I bought their LP "In The Presence Of Nothing" in the early 90s, which is extremely good in a straight-up MBV style. Loud and blissed out. By the time I saw them a few years later, they were a jangly 60s style pop group.
Then they made some electronic music. I have no idea what they sound like now. |

Saw em' live back when w/Swirlies at Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ. Kurt had a bad cold or something and had snot so nasty it was hanging from his nose to the floor at one point. I liked "In the Presence of Nothing" best. Not the most original recording cuz it did sound very much like MBV. But still solid. They have a couple of ep type things right around that period that are good also.BUT then they got real weird..the last i left em' they sounded like a bad version of the Monkees.. it sounds like Kurt's trying this Kinks type of thing but its not happening for me.
