Does anyone even care about Grammys?
Pretty much everything is nominated is crap except for a few in the lesser categories. I like a few Justin timberlake songs and all but it's not the best music of the year. |

I care about catching The Police reunion. If one doesn't, then I don't know what the hell their problem is.

Mastodon is nominated for best metal performance. i like Mastodon (although the new album isn't quite as good as Leviathan).

Well, that worked out well. The Police's "Roxanne" opened the show, so all I missed was the opening title and credit sequence from the new The Simpsons.
It was great to hear Sting start it off by declaring, "We're The Police, and we're back." I suppose that means a tour and hopefully, an album. |

All I cared about for this years Grammys was the Police reunion. Now that I've seen that, I'm turning it off.
I really hope they tour, cause I'd see the Police in a heartbeat. |

It would've been nice if they had did something other than "Roxanne." It was good though. I mean, it wasn't as good as they did it in '79 or anything.

I agree. I was hoping they weren't gonna play Roxanne (since that was the song that was playing on all the grammy tv ads) but they changed it up a bit, which was cool. |

It was cool that they changed it up but it has never been one of favorite Police songs. They sounded good though and Stewart seemed to be having fun

I've heard they are scheduled to do a world tour after the Grammy performance. Not that I give a shit. Sorry.

I was gonna tape the police performance, but I forgot. It's the only time I've ever wanted to watch the grammys, but only for that.
There's a live webcast tomorrow afternoon of their rehearsal at the whisky in hollywood with a press conference where they are probably announcing their tour dates! |

2006 wasn't really a big year for popular music, so i'm not expecting the grammy's to be all that crunk. with the exception of the justin timberlake, ghostface killah, and clipse records, i can't think of anything from the mainstream that's worth talking about.

I dont know why everyone likes th Police! I always thought they were such a boring, untalented band. Roxanne has no kick to it. The band just falls flat of having any inspiration whatsoever. But hey, I'll take the Police over the crappy, androgynous emo/wanna-be-punk bands nowadays.
I hate the Grammy's. Completely worthless awards show that values popularity over actual talent and artistic accomplishment. At least the Flaming Lips are getting something this year (even though they dont really deserve it this time around cuz At War With The Mystics was a subpar album to say the least).
