“20 Jazz Funk Greats” is on my list of albums that I need to own in order to be a complete human being.
Also, one of the best album titles in history, considering what the album actually sounds like. Lol. Yeah. Throbbing Gristle. “Second Annual Report...” and “DOA...” also warp my brain. |

You have good taste d.sound...
Am currently listening to 20 Jazz Funk Greats - it's not quite what I expected, I was thinking it'd be a lot more ferocious. But I'm still enjoying it heaps.

Kreeme Horn - In Praise Of The Grotesque has always been my tried and true favorite! Technically not an official album, but by far the best sounding release of early material that was moderately priced when I purchased it in the late-90’s.
Does anyone have updates on Genesis P-Orridge‘s health? |

From Genesis P-Orridge:
Monday night we play what might be my last Psychic TV concert for thee foreseeable future. My health has declined as we fight thee CMML Leukemia cancer. Most frustrating is that we have fluid on both lungs that has turned into a thick viscous material. Doctors tried to suck it out via large needles pushed between my ribs butter thee fluid is too thick to remove. So we are on oxygen 24x7 just to survive each day. We've picked a special unique set for Monday night. |

You must all get this:
https://www.discogs.com/Throbbing-Gr...lease/11139138 The second CD compliments the main album brilliantly.

Unfortunately, Genesis P-Oridge was hospitalized Sunday:
My breathing deteriorated thee last 23 hours. Am unable to stand and move anywhere. An ambulance has brought me to thee ER for more tests and treatment.. looks like we won’t be able to sing at Brooklyn Steel Monday night...! |

Ah man, that's a shame. Preferred pronoun is a total cunt, but it's never nice to see someone suffering.

Not wanting to diagnose someone but he seems to be a borderline sociopath. He's a manipulator, a wife beater and a general all round douche. That's if you take what Cosey wrote in her book as true that is. Which I'm inclined to do.

Glad to see some improvement:
If Cosey wrote it, I’m sure it’s close to accurate. As a fan of odd music, I was totally stand-offish when it came to PTV. Other than Allegory & Self and some various tracks on a mixtape Maddycat made for me, I wouldn’t spend money on them......and I never really regretted it! Then about 10 years ago Aaron Dilloway sent me a PTV live album and I started playing it over and over. A few months later I was in New Orleans and saw the LadyJaye DVD and ever since I started randomly adding to my collection......until the flood took a good deal of it away. Quote:

Earlier this month, Genesis P-Oridge experienced a nasty fall.
(persecutors are waiting) Still anchored down by an oxygen tank 24 hours per day, can walk slowly for 15 minutes before the need to rest and catch s/he breath. (dogs blood is rising) Thee three times we’ve been medically dead (and all fall down) unconscious suffocating......FIVE days of chemo every third week. (bleeding jesus be quick) |
