This is the most beautiful breed of dog... I want one so bad. Does anyone own one, or know someone who does? I don't really know any personally, but have met a few briefly. They're wonderful. |

I know they're exspensive, but they aren't very rare, at least in Canada.. There's actually a national club for them, lol.

Agreed! I absolutely love dogs... I'd love to own some land one day, so I can have a few big dogs. But, I've also always wanted my first home to be a classy downtown loft, so, hmm... lol |

haha! my mother still likes to tell about how i used to come downstairs crying at night because i wanted a dog so badly. but no one was home during the day so we couldn't have one. we now adopted my stepfather's dog when moving in with him and his family (a cross between a border collie and a dalmatian) and my dad got a golden retriever about a year ago... both are awesome dogs!

LOL, that's hilarious, I did the exact same thing! It was worse when we went to the pet store, just to look, and I'd always get back into the car with tears streaming down my face, and like, purple cheeks. |

he's told to be the only dog who is aware of his own size (which is very big), and he's very careful around small children or smaller animals, since he could just knock them over.
and flophousefloozie: my mother avoided taking me to pet stores, since it would mean at least two weeks of 'i want a doooog!' in the end we got two cats, which is nice too :P i basically like all animals. |

I was just talking to my friends yesterday about how cool it would be to own an Irish wolfhound. They're so noble looking.

It's actually the biggest dog breed whatsoever, isn't it?
