Oxes.

They did a killer set, dressed in toilet paper. You heard me. Toilet paper from head to toe (mummies). At a certain point, one of them left the stage and came back butt naked, crawling on all fours, carrying a skateboard under one arm. He worked his way through the crowd to one of the amps, and started touching it in the same fashion as the apes did in Kubrick's 2001, when the monolith appeared. Fucking insane!!! Great show at a small venue with a crowd of 50 people.

the bongaleeros in leeds on the 1st anniversary of september 11th attacks. dressed in muslim outfits, running around, spinning plates, gargling milk and mushy peas, scrap metal etc.

a german band that supported smog. they took of all their clothes, tied a washing line two their dicks and hung their clothes on it. i think they were more performance based than music but it was totaly insane.

Macronympha at last year's no fun fest was pretty crazy.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs two weeks ago. It was prolly the best show I've ever seen.
Patti Smith was awesome the day before but you know, they are just two different shows. Patti was prolly the best show I've ever seen too, but in a different way. Yeah Yeah Yeahs was pure fun. Karen was so drunk and happy to be there. I liked that. Everyone loved it because she looked like the happiest human being on earth.

Fear/Toy Dolls in 92 or 93 @ Hollywood Palladium. At one point, the fog machine malfunctioned and completely flooded the entire palladium with these chemicals that made everyone leave the palladium for some time until they could clear it out. Pretty crazy.

Pain Teens/Boredoms in 92/93 @ soma(i think). first time seeing or hearing boredoms, around the time SOUL DISCHARGE came out on SHIMMY DISC! blown away.

Crash Worship @ the che. Yeah, that one is the mother of all crazy shows.

Speaking of, has anyone ever seen GG ALLIN live?

Not necessarily the craziest, but one of the more disturbing shows I've attended was a Mr. Bungle show a few years back. They mostly played stuff from California, and during the last part of the show brought out unicycling clown/jester hybrids that irrepairably damaged my psyche.

California was their third and probably most 'popular' album, much more upbeat and poppy than Mr. Bungle and Disco Volante, in my opinion. Not my favorite, but it does have a couple outstanding tracks and killer harmonization.
