Well, a lot of the new weapons I've read about seem to be more so aimed controlling masses of people w/ out fatalities. Which sure, looks good on paper but still raises some scary questions. I don't know. Another one of those topics I currently have no real take on as I can see the pros and cons. I've always been somewhat indifferent when it comes to a lot of military related stuff. Probably partially because I come from a big military family and know a lot of military guys that have done some great things in their military careers (feeding hungry Vietnamese children/etc). War is ugly, always. Whatever. We're animals and we tend to behave as such and have been doing so since we originated as a species.

What qualifies as stupid? Dreamers that constantly bicker about how better things could be (things that have never, and likely never will, change) or those that just accept reality for whatever it is...maybe, at best, hoping things get a little better.

I can see places for both.

I've always judged intelligence by an individuals ability to form their own opinions. This isn't to say I agree with every thought provoking opinion I hear, but I have utmost appreciation for the process in which ones goes about forming their own opinions (i.e....not only reading books/researching, but actually thinking about what is read and not always taking it as absolute truth without further investigation). Most probably don't do this. probably why so many ignorant people still think Darwin said man came from ape. So sad.

I can see how it may appear to be that way from the perspective of others. I just accept whatever at least appears to be reality to me. Guns have been around my entire life. They've been available to purchase my entire adult life. I don't see that changing, and quite honestly I think it would be kind of silly if it did change. As far as the human race is concerned, I think it terms of bulk. Isolated circumstances are bound to happen when it comes to virtually anything.
