the only difference between the two is that homo money is lost more frequently than hetero money. we don't know how to spend.

i'm counting on that. the LP will be available in 2 vinyl-only special editions, limited to 300 each, and both of the scratch-and-sniff variety. the hetero version smells like Monica Bellucci's vagina on a warm spring day in Tuscany, and the homo version is covered in Sir Elton John spunk.

Not too concerned.

It is a proposition to make an amendment. The amendment will require 2/3 vote for ratification and it might not even get to that point. There are already lawsuits being filed. The battle will go on and on, and nothing ultimately or directly influencing what gays can/cannot do will really occur.

the trouble is not the law, the trouble is the lack of social support. It is surprising though, semi-religious and ultra-religious folks alike were for prop 8 and it is seeming to pass, despite the absentee votes, and yet other religious issues like prop 4 did not, and prop 4 was the only one that actually had public safety in mind, not bigotry!

Alex's Trip 11.06.2008 06:51 PM

The religious uprising is certainly the problem, but as for the amendment actually being ratified, I'm not too worried yet.

I think its pretty amusing ( in the, geez, what the hell kind of way) that the majority of people voted happily to oppose something which affects the way only a minority lives their lives.

Alex's Trip 11.06.2008 10:02 PM

I've read that apparently an overwhelming majority of the black voters in California who voted for Obama voted yes on 8. Perhaps that's the price we pay for Obama as president, not that California would have gone to McCain anyway......

davenotdead 11.06.2008 10:56 PM

yeah, i've met many blacks who i could tell were homophobes

well, you can't have everything, can you?
