In Rainbows Disc 2

well its a disappointment

the songs that could have had some life in them like 'Up On The Ladder' and 'Bangers And Mash' are pretty lifeless.

they've butchered 'Last Flowers Til Hospital'. that song had so much promise.

mojo gone

ZEROpumpkins 12.04.2007 06:09 AM

Don't download it! It's sleeping...

atsonicpark 12.04.2007 06:34 AM

radiohead suck now.

SuperCreep 12.04.2007 06:35 AM

I didn't like Last Flowers either. Everything else was good/great.

eatmychild 12.04.2007 07:12 AM

I don't know if this has already been over-posted about, but Radiohead have a list of tour dates. The Manchester show clashes with mbv :(

I like the distant steel drum (??) on 4 Minute Warning, the pace of Bangers & Mash, the spookiness of MK 2, Down Is The New Up sounds like it belongs on Hail to the Thief.

yeah, downloaded from the other link

I was just confused.

PAULYBEE2656 12.05.2007 06:31 AM

man its poor! 2 good songs on it and thats it. it reeks of a bonus disc!

nicfit 12.05.2007 07:29 AM

Now I'm kinda happy I did not order the box :P ha ha.
Kidding (a bit).
Still have to listen to this "bonus disc", but I guess I will be happy with the single disc retail version then.. mah!!! The packaging looks great on the Discbox (oh, did anyone get a copy? thei shipped them out a couple days ago, right?), though...

A question comes to mind then: why on Earth would they release stuff that's not worth it? Radiohead are just not that kind of band. I remember vast majority of their past B-sides output was at least interesting (well, except Com Lag, maybe).

I haven't heard the disc yet, by the way.

To add something, anything to the discbox so that people possibly feel a little less ripped off for spending over $80 for it?

why do you think they released it as a "pay what you will" type of thing?

atsonicpark 12.05.2007 05:25 PM

honestly, I don't want to start a debate or anything, but it's not like in rainbows disc 1 was even that good.

The WHOLE thing reeks of rushed and uncaring; like the band knew they weren't doing amazing this time around. Even people who liked the record can probably agree on that point.

But whatever.

Kylerobert 12.05.2007 07:31 PM

I thought it was interesting. No need for me to bash 'em.

Torn Curtain 12.07.2007 10:42 AM

I think the songs are growers again (at first listen I was disappointed, now at fouth listen I love the first six tracks - I'm not sure yet for the last two).
