If you two can get together on it since he is the 3rd, you shouldn't have a whole lot of trouble pissing him off enough to leave. I mean, loud music, "accidents" with his stuff, asking him to chip in more on rent because one of you has "fell on hard times", etc.

It's not that hard to piss off a roommate, keeping on good terms with a nutjob is much worse. My roommate's lack of coherent sleeping schedules is a bitchmother.

Drawing solely from my experience of a similar situation, I'd suggest doing nothing, become a seething ball of resentment and bide your time until he has some kind of colossal breakdown, destroys most of his possessions and phones his mother at 3am to drive halfway across the country to come pick him up and never be seen of or heard from again. YMMV.

why don't you and your room mate, if they feel the same, just man up and ask him to leave? the simplest solution is quite often the best.

For all I know you could be the insufferable -- or at least exacerbating the situation, but i know what it's like to have cunts around and want rid. you've got to find someway of dealing with it - even if it's just calling him a prick til breaking point and he hits you or something. fuck with him and tell him you dont like him because he's a piece of shit and you want him out. It may be a battle and no fun but if you're adement you can at least destroy him a long with you.

The easiest solution would be to simply piss on him. After that he will either get the picture and leave or he'll fight you and leave.
